How many passengers can your charter buses carry?
Our luxury buses/coaches can be chartered for just a few people or for as much as 56 passengers. The standard coaches that we use for tour groups have 52-56 seats.
Is it legal to drink alcohol on a charter bus?
Currently, there is no federal law restricting passengers drinking alcohol or having open alcoholic containers in limousines, minibusses, charter buses, or other vehicles that transport passengers for compensation. Please note: ALL Amtrak runs do NOT allow any open alcoholic containers (as regulated per government contract).
Should I tip the driver?
Although tipping a driver is never mandatory it is considered good etiquette to do so when you feel that they have performed their duty well. Your driver will appreciate it!
Will there be enough storage for my belongings?
Yes! Our coaches come with vast luggage compartments and are able to store travel items of all shapes and sizes. To store larger or bulky items such as bikes, skis etc., please check with your group leader to ensure there is enough space while keeping other travelers’ luggage in mind.
Do the drivers make stops?
Our drivers will make stops based on your submitted itinerary. Our drivers are flexible and will work to accommodate last minute changes or requests.
Can I bring my pet onboard?
Preferred Charters policies prohibit animals on board our buses; however, the exception is any ADA assistance animal. (see below ADA rule) A “service animal” is any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals with impaired hearing to intruders or sounds, providing minimal protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or fetching dropped items. 28 C.F.R. § 36.104. The ADA does not limit the kind of animal that can provide service or the types of tasks or work a service animal can perform. All service animals are the sole responsibility of the owner and must be in control with a leash, carrier, or other restraints that are appropriate. Any damage to the bus or clean up required is the sole responsibility of the owner of that service animal. Service animals can NOT travel in the aisle or occupy a seat that may otherwise be available to other passengers. Service animals will NOT be transported in the luggage compartments under the bus. Preferred Charters will NOT transport any animal that is considered a threat to the health and/or safety of other passengers or Preferred Charters personnel.

Your Personal Driver
We match you with a certified, skilled and friendly driver. Our drivers are customer service oriented and always aim to go above and beyond expectations! They are very knowledgeable about their designated routes and any stops that may be between. They do accept gratuity and if you find that they have met or have exceeded your expectations, please feel free to tip them.
No Hidden Fees
Rest assured that you will find all pricing clearly stated in your contract.
Cancellation or Rescheduling
If for some reason you need to cancel or reschedule your trip, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can better understand your situation and ensure that you are taken care of.
Opportunities are available for friendly, personable, qualified drivers. Drivers must have at least 2 years experience in the charter coach business, a class B or A commercial drivers license with passenger endorsement and air brakes, also a current medical card. All drivers are drug tested prior to employment and on a random drug testing program during employment. Preferred Charters, LLC, is very compliant with the Federal DOT laws and regulations.
Opportunities are available for friendly, qualified, experienced motor-coach technicians. We have a very modern maintenace facility at our main office in Santa Rosa, California where complete service and inspections are done on a regular basis for all our equipment.
Office Staff (general)
Opportunities are available for employees with great communication skills, bookkeepping, filing, team player, dispatch, general knowledge of the motor coach and tour industry with a good sense of geography.
